Fundamental Principles
Demonstrate understanding of the fundamentalpostulates and principles of special relativity and quantum mechanics. Theintellectual effort required to understand these new concepts will aid students ingaining a deeper appreciation of the laws governing God's creations. (Intellectuallyenlarging, spiritually strengthening)

Simple Systems
Apply the principles of quantum mechanics to predict the resultsof measurements in simple systems such as a free particle, simple potential wells, and central potentials. Students will work alone and in groups to solve pedagogicalproblems, teach each other, providing opportunities to build character, serve eachother, and build confidence in their ability to learn new and challenging topics.(Intellectually enlarging, lifelong learning and service, character building)

Applications
Solve problems and answer conceptual questions applying theprinciples of quantum mechanics and special relativity to fields of active researchinterest in modern physics such as atomic physics, molecular physics, the physicsof solids, statistical physics, nuclear physics, radioactivity, and particle physics.Students will build a base of knowledge in topics relevant to many aspects ofmodern technology and societal issues, enabling them to be engaged and informedcitizens for their whole life.
